SR MDO has during 2015 collaborated with the emerging Public Service Broadcaster in Rwanda, RBA.
The on-going media reforms in the country imply among many other things a transformation of the former State Broadcaster to an independent role in line with international standards and Public Service values.
We have primarily worked with the five regional stations within the RBA network, supporting them in transforming their operations according to the new ideals of independent and reliable media serving the large rural audiences in the country.
SR MDO has also supported RBA’s new youth radio channel, Magic FM in Kigali, in striving to reach its target audience of Urban Youth more effectively.
We are currently discussing plans with Sida for continuing this work together with RBA and four Community Radio Stations in Rwanda.
